History of Somalia

Somalia has a wealth of history, and the world Somali was first mentioned in a history book over 3500 years ago. The Egyptians termed Somalia the ‘Land of Punt,’ wherein Punt refers to spices. The climate of Somalia is always hot. The average daily maximum temperature ranges from 30*C to 40*C, which means the country is always beautifully warm. Mogadishu, which is the period from May to October, is marked by the southwest monsoon sea breeze. This is the coolest time of the year for Somalia. The two monsoon periods are October – November and March-May, with Tangambil being the hot, humid periods in between.
